Step 1: Review Parts of Speech & Questions
1. Directions: Watch the videos and review the notes to remember what parts of speech and question words mean.
Nouns-Name a Person, Place, or Thing
-Can be Proper or Common (May vs. month) -Can be Concrete or Abstract (the sky vs. dreams) |
Verbs-Action Verbs: describe an action
(run, jumping, swam, etc.) -BE Verbs: describe a state of "being" (am, are, is was, were) |
Adjectives-Describe a noun
-Add more details (happy, beautiful, shiny, new, etc.) |

Who, What, When, Where, Why, & How all ask for different information; remember what they are!
